Iran has rejected Pakistan's offer to mediate in peace talks between the US and Iran, saying that Pakistan's forums are its own and that Iran did not participate in them. The country's foreign ministry says there are no direct talks with the US and that Washington is making excessive demands via intermediaries, according to RIA Novosti. Iran says the demands the US has made for peace talks are "excessive and unreasonable," adding that both sides have only communicated through intermediaries so far. Pakistan says it is ready to host direct talks between the United States and Iran.
