Israel has punished a unit of ultra-Orthodox soldiers who assaulted a CNN crew in the West Bank last week. The Netzah Yehuda battalion has been withdrawn from the area, CNN reports. One of the soldiers put photojournalist Cyril Theophilos in a chokehold, and the crew was preparing to report on settler violence in the village of Tayasir. Punishment of Israeli settlers for violence against Palestinians is also rare.
