India, EU strengthen strategic partnership at 3rd TTC; announce cooperation in AI, semiconductors, clean technologies
Brussels [Belgium], July 15 (ANI): The India-EU Free Trade Agreement presents a significant opportunity to elevate India-Belgium economic ties, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said. Goyal expressed his gratitude to local leadership for their hospitality and highlighted the future potential of the regional partnership. “My sincere thanks to Minister-President Flanders Matthias Diependaele @MDiependaele and Minister @AnnickDeRidder for hosting us," Goyal said on X. “The India-EU FTA presents a significant opportunity to elevate India-Belgium economic ties. Look forward India and Belgium launched their first Strategic Dialogue, with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Maxime Prévot agreeing to deepen cooperation in trade, technology, clean energy, defence, and supply chain resilience amid global uncertainties. Jaishankar emphasized the need for coordination on structural economic challenges and geopolitical impacts. The dialogue aims to expand collaboration beyond trade, focusing on areas like innovation and security. Brussels, Jul 15 (PTI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday participated in the India-EU Business Roundtable in Brussels and underscored the growing trust in India-Europe ties, saying businesses must realise the full potential of the partnership. Jaishankar is on a visit to Belgium from July 14-15 to participate in the 3rd India-EU Trade and Technology Council meeting and interact with his EU and Belgian counterparts in Brussels. The European Union (EU) comprises 27 member states, including Germany, France, Italy, The European Union and India held the third meeting of their Trade and Technology Council (TTC) in Brussels, reaffirming the council’s role as a key platform for cooperation on trade, technology, and security. The meeting underscored the growing ambition of the India-EU strategic partnership, with both sides agreeing to strengthen strategic value chains and deepen business engagement.
