Budget 2026 Highlights: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented India’s 80th budget today in Parliament. She laid down three Kartavyas: – First is to accelerate and sustain economic growth by enhancing competitiveness and building resilience to volatile global dynamics. Second is to fulfil the aspirations of people and build their capacity. Third is to ensure ‘sab ka saath, sab ka vikas’ Finance Minister Sitharaman raised public capital expenditure (capex) to Rs 12.2 lakh crore for FY 2026–27. She also proposed setting up a girls hostel in every district of the country.
