"Today we are starting a new chapter for a developed U.P. and developed India," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Saturday during the inauguration of the Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh, per the Hindustan Times. He was joined by Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel. The airport, which is the first of four planned ones in the Delhi-National Capital Region, is designed to handle up to 70 million passengers a year by 2026, with a focus on achieving net-zero emissions, per the Indian Express. It has a runway that can handle wide-body aircraft, and a cargo terminal with a starting capacity of 2.5 million tons.
